A Book

My friend Aaron Mahnke has published his first book, a fantasy novel several hundred pages long. I’ve only read the first 4-5 pages, so can’t yet give a glowing endorsement for the quality. But as a long time fan of epic fantasy series, I can say this: I have a ton of admiration for anyone who can finish a project of this magnitude. The backstory and history, the timeline, and maps required for stories like these are an incredible amount of work all by themselves. Let alone writing the story.

As a huge Robert Jordan fan, I’ve often toyed with the idea of writing a series. But the scope of the project has always been so overwhelming, it’s never been more than a passing thought for me. Kudos to Aaron for actually taking the idea on and seeing it through.
