Productivity is Dead

Adam King has an interesting observation about the simplicity of the apps we Mac users use. He makes a case for using more complicated collection and creation tools rather than more complicated task management tools. Why?

I want to spend less time in my task app, and more time living in the places where I absorb good things and make stuff. If I’m gonna be tweaking a workflow, I want it to be my *work*flow, not my *figuringoutwhattoworkon*flow.

I’d argue that proper usage of a task management tool, even a complicated one, should result in more time absorbing and making. But his point is a good one nonetheless.
