The Creator’s Culture

Kyle Baxter hits one out of the park with his latest post focused on creativity and the Mac community. It reminds me of one my first posts here on The Weekly Review titled Communities. Kyle succinctly describes why I love OS X and the Mac community at large. If you haven’t subscribed to Kyle’s site yet, please do so now.

As well, he describes the differences between consuming and creating and how the Mac community is filled with people who are creating. He sums up his article nicely:

This community is something special, a bit of a haven of productive culture in a storm of laziness. This aspect of the community, I think, should be celebrated.

I can certainly empathize with this idea. It’s the influence of these creative types that have driven me to focus on creating instead of constant consumption.
